Turandot, a cruel princess, has every suitor beheaded if he does not succeed in solving three riddles. One day a prince comes who not only answers the three questions, but also gives her a riddle to solve: she should find out his name by sunrise. If she succeeds, he will willingly go to the scaffold. Turandot does not even recoil from applying torture in order to solve her riddle. However, the closer the morning comes, the more the stranger succeeds in melting the heart of the icy princess.
