This story of the passionate and beautiful Carmen, a reckless seducer whose inconstant life ends at the hands of her rejected lover, was written by the novelist Prosper Mérimée three whole decades before the premiere of Bizet´s opera. Carmen is an opera full of sensuous and wild Spanish melodies, which stage director Jozef Bednárik has managed to shape into a magnificent theatrical spectacle. Excelling in the title role are such singers as Marina Domashenko-Yakovleva and Jana Sýkorová.
Opera with Dinner in Prague
